The team « Dynamics of Cellular Infections« , directed by Virginie Stévenin (https://tinyurl.com/virginiestevenin), was established in May 2026 at the IPBS (Toulouse) with seed funding for young research teams from the French Medical Research Foundation. Our research aims to understand how intracellular bacteria, in particular Salmonella, remodel their host cell to create an environment conducive to their survival and replication, with a particular focus on intracellular trafficking and nutrient transport.
