| Background: | |
| The « Matter and Complex Systems » laboratory (MSC, Université Paris Cité–CNRS UMR7057, https://msc.u-paris.fr/) is a physics laboratory with 134 staff members, but it also brings together biologists, chemists, physicians, and geophysicists. Some of the research at the physics/biology interface focuses on morphogenesis and the development of various organisms (jellyfish, sea urchins, mouse embryos, plants). The position is within the laboratory’s biology department (2 people), which is part of the “Research Support” team (11 people), while remaining closely connected to the research activities of the teams working on morphogenesis and mechanobiology (the “MoprhoDyn” and “Physique du Vivant” teams). Given its multidisciplinary nature, the laboratory has developed a highly diversified technical department that brings together the various professional disciplines required for its operations, including biology. 1) The work environment: The MSC laboratory is located in the Condorcet Building, UMR 7057 CNRS and Université Paris Cité, 10 Rue Alice Domon et Léonie Duquet, 75013 Paris. Reporting to the director, the successful candidate will join the laboratory’s biology department while also participating in the research activities of certain teams. They will work closely with the teams, interacting directly with researchers and their students, and will be responsible for supervising interns and training new employees in the necessary techniques and safety procedures. 2) Job-related requirements: Occasional on-call duty on certain weekends | |
