The CNRS is issuing a call for applications for the position of Director of CNRS Biology, with a start date scheduled for January 1, 2027.

As a member of the CNRS Executive Board, the institute’s future leadership will be responsible for defining and implementing the scientific strategy of CNRS Biology, steering its national research programs, and coordinating its academic, institutional, and international partnerships.

This position is intended for a leading scientist who is recognized in one of the fields of the biological sciences and has extensive experience in management and in leading research projects or organizations at the national or international level.

As the CNRS institute with the largest workforce, CNRS Biology brings together 210 research and service units and more than 19,000 staff members, and contributes to advancing knowledge of life in all its diversity.
