Description
The SBCF can provide financial support for organizing a conference in the field of cell biology.
Note: The SBCF does not support local conferences or departmental retreats.
Application deadlines: March 15, June 15, September 15, and December 15.
Conditions
- The organizer(s) must be members of the SBCF - The conference must be international and last 2–5 days - Renowned guests must have been contacted - The theme of Cell Biology must be included - The organizer must create a conference page on the SBCF website - The SBCF logo must appear in the program - A page about the SBCF and *Biology of the Cell* will be included in the program and abstract booklet - A presentation slide about the SBCF and *Biology of the Cell* must be provided during the conference - Support will preferably take the form of awards for young researchers - The budget must be reasonable. - After the conference, the organizer will submit a half-page summary of the highlights. Specifically, the organizer agrees to: 1. Before the conference: - Include the SBCF logo on conference materials (logo attached): o Initial announcement o Posters, programs, and flyers o Website 2. During the conference: - Display the SBCF slide at the beginning of the conference or during the session sponsored by the SBCF, if applicable; - Include the SBCF logo on the poster acknowledging institutional partners; 3. After the conference: - Send a report on the conference, the abstract booklet from your conference, and a screenshot of the website featuring the SBCF logo Any failure to comply with these rules will result in the cancellation of SBCF support.List of documents to submit
- the detailed program for the conference or one-day event - the proposed budget - the organizer’s/applicant’s resume - a summary of the topics to be covered - A web page on the SBCF website must be created to publicize the conference prior to submission. In your application, you must clearly explain how the theme of your conference justifies your request for SBCF support and how you plan to use this grant.NB: All documents should be sent as one file.
