The SBCF is very pleased to announce that the Young Researcher Prize 2022 (5 000€) is given to Thibaut Brunet, team “Evolutionary Cell Biology and Evolution of Morphogenesis” at Institut Pasteur.
Thibaut Brunet has recently done remarkable work in Cell Biology on Choanoflagellates, flagellated unicellular organisms that have exceptional transdifferentiation capabilities and represent a unique model to study epithelial formation and cell communication.
The Prize was given to him during the General Assembly of the Society that was held at Institut Cochin in June 2022.
He then presented his work entitled: “The origin of animal morphogenesis: insights from choanoflagellates”
