An ERC-funded 3-year post-doctoral position is available in the Dumont group at the Institut Jacques Monod (IJM, https://www.ijm.fr/593/equipes/division-cellulaire-et-reproduction.htm) in Paris (FR).
Our lab studies the mechanisms of cell division and chromosome segregation during meiosis and mitosis. The post-doc project aims to study holocentric chromosome segregation in oocytes. Our lab uses advanced imaging techniques (such as TIRF and confocal live microscopy, and 3D electron microscopy) to study cell division at multiple scales. Core IJM facilities include an electron and light microscopy, a genomic and a proteomic facility equipped with state of the art instruments.
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree, have at least one first author publication in a peer-reviewed journal, but no more than 2 years of post-doctoral experience. We are seeking candidates with a strong motivation and prior experience in cell biology or biochemistry. Expertise in recombinant protein purification, TIRF-based assays, electron microscopy or bio-informatics would be great assets.
