The team led by Gisela D’Angelo at Institut Curie investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying triple-negative breast cancer. Their research focuses on the role of CD133-associated membrane protrusions and extracellular vesicles in tumour progression, invasion, and metastasis. By combining cell biology approaches with the study of extracellular vesicle biology, the group aims to gain a deeper understanding of how these structures contribute to cancer aggressiveness and to identify potential therapeutic targets.
