I am a pharmacist by training with a background in cell biology, biophysics and structural biology. I am especially interested in the structure and dynamics of components of biological membranes and how they partition with a special focus on tetraspanins. I study intact cells as well as model membranes investigated with advanced microscopy techniques such as AFM (atomic force microscopy) or single molecule fluorescence microscopy. Part of my activities concern methodological developments.
