The University of Poitiers is seeking an outstanding candidate to join its cancer research department. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a high-impact, structuring research project focusing on the interplay between tumor cells and their microenvironment during cancer progression and dissemination.
To fulfill this role, the candidate must possess advanced expertise in carcinogenesis and cell signaling pathways, with a strong emphasis on their involvement in tumor progression. A proven track record of several years of professional experience in cancer research, supported by high-quality publications and/or patents, is essential.
Teaching Responsibilities
The candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education by delivering theoretical and practical courses, including:
- Eukaryotic cell biology and signaling at the bachelor’s level.
- Molecular and cellular aspects of genetic diseases and biotechnologies at the master’s level.
The candidate will also:
- Train students in scientific communication (including courses conducted in English) and project management.
- Supervise and evaluate student internships, including dissertations and oral defenses.
- Participate in curriculum development and the organization of training programs.
Administrative and Collaborative Responsibilities
The candidate will:
- Take on administrative duties related to the department and teaching programs.
- Play an active role in the coordination and development of training courses.
- Collaborate within the research axis to further strengthen its contributions to cancer biology and related fields.
