En 2025, la SBCF relance ses prix "photos" après le succès retentissant de la compétition 2023 !
Un grand Merci à tous les candidats qui ont répondu présent avec pas moins de 97 images proposées. Ces superbes illustrations de la richesse du vivant vont illuminer de nombreuses futures opérations de communication de la SBCF, destinées aux scientifiques comme aux grand public, et captivant des plus jeunes aux plus expérimentés.
Lors de cette première étape de la compétition, le conseil d'administration de la SBCF a décidé de récompenser Charlotte Canet-Jourdan avec le prix "Meilleure image 2025", doté de 250 €. Son image colorée, alliant esthétisme et intérêt scientifique, a su séduire le jury. Bravo Charlotte !
Charlotte Canet-Jourdan, chercheuse post-doctorante dans l'équipe de Maria Lennon-Duménil à l'Institut Curie de Paris nous offre une photo intitulée "Le côlon est un champ de fleurs multicolores". Cette image capture les cryptes côloniques de patient où le cytosquelette d'actine est visible en rouge, les jonctions cellules-cellules de l'épithelium sont identifiées par une molécule d'adhérence (EpCAM) en vert, et les noyaux sont visibles en bleu gâce au marquage de l'ADN.
Après le prix du conseil d'administration, ce sera au tour des membres de la SBCF et du grand public de voter pour leurs photos préférées parmi les 14 mieux classées par le CA. Restez donc connectés pour cette nouvelle étape avec à la clef deux photos recompensées!

In 2025, the SBCF is renewing its "Photos" awards following the resounding success of the 2023 competition!
A huge thank you to all the candidates who participated, submitting no fewer than 97 images. These magnificent illustrations of the richness of life will illuminate many future communication campaigns aimed at both scientists and the general public, captivating the youngest to the most experienced.
In this first stage of the competition, the SBCF board of directors has decided to award Charlotte Canet-Jourdan with the "Best Image 2025" prize, worth 250 €. Her colorful image, combining aesthetics and scientific interest, won over the jury. Congratulations Charlotte!
Charlotte Canet-Jourdan, a post-doctoral researcher in Maria Lennon-Duménil's team at the Institut Curie in Paris, presents a photo entitled "The colon is a field of multicolored flowers." This image captures the colonic crypts of patients, where the actin cytoskeleton is visible in red, the cell-cell junctions of the epithelium are identified by a cell-cell adhesion molecule (EpCAM) in green, and the nuclei are visible in blue thanks to DNA staining.
After the board of directors' prize, it will be the turn of the SBCF members and the general public to vote for their favorite photos among the top 14 selected by the board. Stay tuned for this new stage and discover the two photos that will be awarded!
