Dear Members, dear colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the launch of the search for a new Editor-in-Chief of Biology of the Cell, as well as one or two Associate Editors.
Biology of the Cell publishes original research articles and reviews spanning cellular, molecular and structural biology, developmental biology, cell physiology, and evolution. The journal aims to advance understanding of the biochemical and biophysical principles governing the organization of living matter at molecular, cellular, and tissue levels.
Published since 1984 by the French Societies of Cell Biology (SBCF) and of Microscopies (SFu), the journal has been led since 2016 by René Marc Mège. The two Societies, together with the publisher Wiley, are now seeking the next Editor-in-Chief to guide the journal’s future development and maintain its scientific excellence
Beyond its scholarly impact, the journal plays a vital role in supporting our Society’s activities. Royalties directly fund conferences, grants, educational initiatives, and outreach efforts that benefit our community.
We warmly encourage qualified colleagues to apply or to nominate candidates. Interested candidates are invited to contact the Presidents of either Society ( [email protected] for the SBCF; [email protected] for the SFu) or the person in charge of the Editorial issues at Wiley ([email protected]), or directly the present Editor-in-Chief ([email protected]).
Our Society’s communication channels are fully committed to promoting this call and to supporting the journal’s continued visibility and growth through active engagement and publication.
We look forward to your participation in this important step for our journal and our community,
Warm regards,
Isabelle Tardieux
Présidente de la SBCF
