The 30th French Ion Channel Meeting will be held in Sète, near Montpellier (South of France), from 8th to 11th September 2019. We are very pleased to propose a multifaceted and highly interesting scientific program. In particular, a special plenary lecture given by Anne Feltz (Institute of Biology of Ecole Normale Supérieure, Paris), entitled “30 years of ion channel history” will open the meeting on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the congress. We are expecting an international participation, which will fuel the informal exchanges occurring during this meeting organized on the model of Gordon Research Conferences.

The program includes five symposia, two sessions of oral communications selected from the participants’ abstracts, and two sessions of poster presentations.

For this year edition the following topics have been selected for the five symposia:

– “Ion channels and autism”
– “Ion channels and skin functions”
– “Glutamate ligand-gated channels”
– “Ion channels in cancer therapy resistance”
– ““A-typical” Ion channels/currents”

We particularly encourage the participation of students and young postdocs; their registration fees are kept at a minimum to facilitate their attendance.

Please note the important dates:

•          Registration and Abstract submission opening: April 5th, 2019
