Registration deadline: May 1st 2010
June 2-4 2010 – Gif sur Yvette
Organisers: Alexis Gautreau, Antonina Alexandrova, and Klemens Rottner.
This trilateral workshop involving France, Russia and Germany has been funded by our national research organisations, the French CNRS, The Russian RFBR and the German DFG, to foster collaborations between our three countries.
It will be held in Gif-sur-Yvette, France, from June, the 2nd to the 4th. Gif-sur-Yvette is 30 km South of Paris. The workshop is limited to 30 participants. All participants will present their work orally. We strongly encourage students and post-docs to apply. We believe a small workshop of this kind constitutes an excellent opportunity for young researchers to interact with peers and more established colleagues.
Scientists interested in participating should send a short motivation letter (less than one page) and a short CV to firstname.lastname@example.org before May, 1st.
The registration fee is 250 euros. It covers attendance to the lectures, meals and accommodation. For people living in Paris area, who do not need accommodation, this fee is reduced to 125 euros. If the fee prevents you from attending, explain this to us in the motivation letter. You may be eligible to a limited number of fellowships we can provide. The workshop is open to scientists from all nationalities. However, to be eligible for a fellowship covering the registration fee, it is obligatory to work in a lab located in France, Russia or Germany.
A limited number of travel fellowships is also available for scientists working in Germany and Russia.
Scientists requiring an invitation letter to come to France should let us know in the motivation letter.
