We are looking for a motivated post-doctoral scientist to join the young research team “Membrane dynamics & viruses” headed by Raphaël Gaudin, part of the Institute of Viral and Liver Disease (INSERM U1110) at the University of Strasbourg, France. Our lab is interested in various aspects of intracellular trafficking pathways and their subversion by viral pathogens. With the objective of tackling current paradigms in the fields of virology and cell biology, the proposed project will focus on various aspects of membrane trafficking in the context of viral infection using state-of-the-art imaging techniques and Crispr-Cas9 strategies.

The institute is located on the campus of Strasbourg University medical school, less than 2 hours from Paris and Heidelberg. We offer an internationally renowned research environment with direct access to modern infrastructures. More information is available at u1110.inserm.fr.

You hold a Ph.D in biological sciences with a strong experience in membrane trafficking and/or microscopy. You are curious, motivated and have a problem-solving mindset. The applicant is expected to speak English, while French is not a prerequisite.

To apply, please send an email with a cover letter (rgaudin@unistra.fr), a CV and the names and contact details of two references.
