This year once again SBCF was with the ITMO BCDE at the annual ASCB meeting in San Francisco to represent Cell Biology in France. About a hundred persons attended the « Cell Biology Research in France » presentation by Thierry Galli and Arnaud Echard. Over 150 persons visited our booth, hosted by Christine Lemaître (ITMO BCDE), Mireille Guyader (Ambassade de France), members of the SBCF council together with the students and post docs who received an SBCF travel grant.

Congratulation to the 2 recipients of the SBCF/ASCB award:
Léa Ripoll (PhD student, Curie Institute, Paris) and Ingrid Chamma (post doctoral fellow, Institut Interdisciplinaire de Neurosciences, Bordeaux).

The meeting of the American Society of Cell Biology (ASCB) this year will be held from December 3-7, in San Franscisco, California, USA.

ASCB2016 will focus on the latest discoveries in the field, including CRISPR, and on building links from fundamental research to clinical issues.

This meeting is a wonderful chance for you to present your science and to meet in person many of the prominent names you know from the literature. It will also be a great occasion to promote cell biology as a world science.
